My wife and I grew up in WV and have been a part of the GCS ministry since 2010. God has blessed us with 4 wonderful children, and we count it a privilege to be able to raise them. When I’m not involved in a school or church activity, I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, watching or playing sports, and learning more about the wonders of God’s creation.

As a parent myself, I’m so thankful for the opportunity to have a ministry like GCS that partners with my wife and I as we seek to train our children to live successful Christ-centered lives.

During my years in college, I worked as a waitress at the Wilds Christian Camp and Conference Center. It became clear that I loved working with young people. My husband, Zachary, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy in Ashland.

I am proud to be from Huntington, WV! I met my husband, John, in 1984 at a Christian school we both attended. We have been married for 31 years. My twin sister and I attended Grace Christian in our ninth-grade year. My husband was in the second graduating class of Grace Christian School.

In 1999, the Lord called me to become part of the staff here at GCS. I currently am the Preschool Director and the K4 teacher. I absolutely love my job!!! I enjoy being with the children, listening to them, and, most of all, telling them about the wonderful God we serve.

My husband and I have three adult children: Jessica, Jenny, and Jacob. We are proud to say they are all second-generation graduates of Grace Christian School. We are also Pops and Grammy to our granddaughter, Annistyn, who now attends GCS. That makes three generations of our family attending Grace Christian!!

When I’m not at school with the preschoolers, I love spending time with our large family, which includes our son-in-law, my parents, my brothers, my twin sister, and numerous nieces and nephews.

I graduated from Bob Jones University in 1997 and have been teaching at GCS ever since. My husband Brent works beside me as the high school math teacher, and I love that I can walk the halls with my son and husband each and every day. I am also an alumnus of Grace Christian School. I am the only faculty member that is a graduate, teacher, and parent of a GCS student, so my relationship with the school is very unique. I currently teach middle school language arts and high school speech. My extracurricular activities include coaching an after-school speech team and directing the school plays. I recently worked with a local outdoor theater company for ten years as their acting vice president, and I’m currently a part of the Choose Joy Players directing musicals for outdoor theater. I love the arts and have a passion for bringing out the best in young people while using speech and theater as my platform.

My husband Brent and I met here at the school when the Lord called him from Massachusetts to West Virginia. We have one precious son named Bradyn, who inspires me every day. I am so thankful that he can receive the same Christ-centered education that I did. Grace Christian School is very special to me, and I’m thankful that my son can experience the same life-changing benefits this school has to offer. I know that he will learn to live in this world in God’s way, just as I did. I love Jeremiah 33:3, which states, “Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not.” I am so thankful for His faithfulness!
